I think that I shall never smell Anything that smells as well As that pungent-perfumed bulb that grows, Better known as the stinking rose.
That pretty much sums up my love of garlic.
During a recent weekend in Temecula, my best friend steered me to the Temecula Olive Oil Co. where I purchased an array of oil, vinegars, soaps, and olive oil-related sundries. When I returned home Sunday evening, my husband immediately spied the bottle of garlic oil and popped the cork on it. I figured it would taste like any garlic oil, and I've tasted many. Ohhh, how wrong I was. The garlic was evident but not overbearing, and the oil was light with a perfect vicosity. The contents of the entire bottle disappeared within one week! My family found any possible escuse to dip, coat, marinate, and otherwise baptise food items in the silken, scented goodness. By comparison with other gourmet and market garlic-imbued oils I've tried, there is no compariso. The late harvet reserve garlic oil is a superb product. | We use this oil almost daily in our kitchen. It has great flavor and is wonderful for sauteing vegetables or meat. Paired with a cast iron skillet the combination can't be beat! — Marcy Ganow |
